Site news

Hosting Glengarry County Genweb the last few months, has been time consuming but rewarding. Working towards the goals of the Finlaggan Council which reports to the High Council of Clan Donald International, has been engaging much attention. I have attended a Clan Donald Ceilidh in Williamstown, a Glengarry Historical Society Picnic featuring the township of Lochiel, taken pictures of Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal, and flown to Winnipeg viewing historical buildings related to the Miles Macdonell settlement in the last few months. I recently attended the Glengarry Highland Games on the July 30th weekend, and marched in the Clan parade with other Clan Donald. I was pleased to be able to offer digital copies of Angus L. Macdonald, premier of Nova Scotia, and Mackezie King, attending the Glengarry Highland Games in their time, which were willingly accepted.

New Products

I am working on two books, a Genealogy of the Macdonells of Greenfield and a children's book about the emigration of the Highlanders to Glengarry from Scotland.

I am also building an inventory of books and collectibles for sale. The list will be updated frequently

Pictures above include St. Mary's Cemetery in Williamstown, Glengarry County and a rare picture of Angus L. Macdonald, once Premier of Nova Scotia, at the Highland Games in Maxville approximately 55 years ago with his friend Donald Sandfield Macdonald
